Why We Collect Information About You:

In the course of business, we collect and use various types of information about you. We use this information for various reasons such as, opening and administering your accounts, qualifying you for loans, for verification purposes when you call us for your account balances or want to access your funds, and to help protect you and the bank from losses. In some cases, laws that govern the banking industry require that we gather certain information. For example, we are required by law to obtain a Social Security Number or Taxpayer Identification Number when opening accounts. We may also use the information we have gathered to determine if there are other products or services that we offer which could benefit you. In some cases the information we collect is helpful in determining if it would be beneficial to implement new products and services.

Where We Get Our Information—What Information We Collect:

In most cases, the information we have about you, comes from you. You provide information such as your name, address, phone number, assets, income, and Social Security Number with your loan applications, and on your account signature cards and other forms. We collect information about you from your banking relationships with us, such as account balances, payment and deposit history, the types of accounts you have and their usage. Sometimes, we get information about your creditworthiness, and credit history from third parties such as credit bureaus. We do not collect personal information from our Web Site, nor does our site require that you disclose any personal information. If you choose to contact us by e-mail, please keep in mind that such e-mail may not be secure and you should not disclose any personal information or account information.

When We Share Information With Others—What Information We May Share:

Because you are our valued customer, we do not share any nonpublic personal information about you as our customer, or former customer, to anyone except as permitted by law. In accordance with standard banking practice, and within regulatory guidelines, we may share certain information about you with reputable credit reporting agencies so creditors can verify the existence and condition of your accounts with us. We, like most banks, have contracts with outside companies who provide support services to us, such as those driving our ATMs and rendering account statements. In other instances, we may share information about you if we are served with a court order, a subpoena, or are otherwise compelled by law to do so. The information we may share with these entities may include all of the information we have collected about you as described previously in this notice.
